ThePirates strong defense led the way for their first Big East road win ofthe year. "We feel like we're pretty deep. It's just like Coach says, 'You'vegot to be ready.' Guys and personnel changes and somebody might have tostep up, go in there and make some plays" said Herb Pope. It was a special win for Seton Hall head coach Bobby Gonzalez. "This is one of my favorite wins of my lifetime. We beat Florida inthe NCAAs when I was at Manhattan. We beat Louisville here against RickPitino, an idol of mine. But this ranks up there. We got 15 wins andare tied for eighth in the conference. It was our first road win. Therewere so many things. We proved we could play without Jeremy (Hazell)and Eugene (Harvey). We won a game at Carnesecca Arena over ametropolitan area rival. This was big. This was special. They'llremember this for a long time" said Gonzalez.
