West Virginia defeated Seton Hall 75-63 yesterday in Morgantown,West Virginia. Kevin Jones and Devin Ebanks led the way for theMountaineers with 16 points each. Jeff Robinson scored a team high 16 points and added 5 rebounds forthe Pirates. Herb Pope added 9 points and 10 rebounds before foulingout. Jeremy Hazell struggled with his hand injury and finished withonly 9 points on 2-10 shooting. “Obviously, Hazell was not 100 percent,” Pirates coach Bobby Gonzalez. SHU was without guard Eugene Harvey again who sat out again with abruised hand. “Keon Lawrence and Jordan Theodore were really goodagainst St. John’s but we could have used Harvey today. It was a tale of two halves. We faced a lot of adversity out there, not to make anyexcuses because West Virginia is eighth in the country for a reason. Weknew going in it would be a tough game,” Gonzalez said. The Pirates will return home on Tuesday night as they host staterival Rutgers at the Prudential Center in Newark, N.J. Tip-off isscheduled for 7:00 p.m.
