The Oklahoma City Thunder defeated the New York Knicks 121-118 in overtime at Madison Square Garden last night.

Kevin Durant continued his hot streak and finished with 36 points and 5 rebounds.

Tracy McGrady made quite some noise in his orange and blue debut byscoring 26 points, dishing out 5 assists, and grabbing 4 rebounds. Hegot off to a quick start with 19 points in the first half. Eddie Housealso had a solid debut by scoring 24 points and grabbing 5 rebounds offthe bench. Mr. Double-Double David Lee finished with 30 points and 10 rebounds.

The new Knicks showed promise last night. There's a reason TracyMcGrady is a seven time all-star with career averages of 21.9 PPG, 6.1RPG, and 4.7 APG. The swing man was an elite player early on when hewas in Orlando and Houston. He showed again why he still is an elitetalent last night. After averaging only 7 minutes in 6 games withHouston, McGrady looked like his old-self. T-Mac attacked the hoop, drew double-teams, and hit his mid-range jumper. At 6-8 McGrady has an advantage when guarded by smaller players especially with histremendous passing ability. He makes his teammates better. New York fans have to be ecstatic with Knicks GM Donnie Walsh's brilliant moveas McGrady hopes to stay beyond this season on Broadway.

"I'm a guy who has made a lot of money in my career," McGrady said."I could retire right now and be fine financially. My kids can be fine.Money is not an issue. [If] these guys want to bring in a LeBron andD-Wade, along with a Chris Bosh or an Amare' Stoudemire, I'd be a damnfool not to want to stay here. I would definitely embrace theopportunity where money is not an issue."

McGrady enjoyed the reception from the Garden faithful. They cheered him early on every time he touched the ball.

McGrady will not be the only one that has a chance to remain withthe Knicks after this summer. Eddie House is a tremendous shooter thatcan come off the bench and spark a team. He has plenty of experiencewith his Celtics championship ring and is well accumulated with Knickshead coach Mike D'Antoni's system.

Sergio Rodriguez who was also acquired in the Knicks-Rockets-Kingthree team deal could be a great fit in the system. He is a flashy andquick guard that likes to push the tempo who has good court vision.

The Knicks will look to get back on track when they host theMilwaukee Bucks tomorrow night at the World's Most Famous Arena at 7:30p.m. on Legends Night where the 1969-1970 Knicks championship team willbe honored.

The Bucks are coming off an 93-88 win vs. Charlotte on Saturdaynight. Newly acquired guard-forward John Salmons had a solid debut with19 points, 7 rebounds, and 5 assists. Milwaukee is led by rookieBrandon Jennings who is averaging 16.7 PPG and 6.1 APG. He started theseason hot but has cooled down a bit since.

Look for the Knicks to run more and score more with their newplayers. Walsh acquired the lethal scorer that they have been lookingfor in McGrady. House and Rodriguez will be fine complimentary players that will bring energy off the bench. The Knicks will now be using aquicker line-up as Wilson Chandler will be relied on to bang moreinside against bigger players. Chandler's strength will help him in those match-ups.

New York projected starting line-up:

PG Duhon

SG McGrady

SF Gallinari

PF Chandler

Milwaukee projected starting line-up:
